The sheep are back!

The meadows of the LIFE Xero-grazing project return to host the flock of the local Authority of the Protected Areas of the Cottian Alps, two and a half years after the terrible fire that destroyed almost all the xerothermic grasslands of the LIFE project and upset the entire Val Susa. The same flames had also destroyed part of the watering pipes installed during the project, which today are fully restored and functioning thanks to the precious work and trust in the Project of the Municipalities of Mompantero and Bussoleno. The farm that manages the flock is based in Avigliana and practices the stray grazing: the sheep will remain on the LIFE grasslands as long as there is enough grass, after which it will move to the alpine pastures in Val d'Aosta.
