The action C4 was completed.
Implementation of measures aimed at restoring the stretches of pastoral service roads to the intervention areas that are damaged, due to the transit of irregular and unauthorized motorized vehicles will limit PNACozie with its appropriate supervisory activities. The objective is to ensure that the access roads remain functional to the areas of intervention, to which the service flock relies on.
The action plan is to implement measures which restore the paths (in both areas, a total of about 500 linear meters) for pastoral use.

The action A3 was completed at December 31, 2014
The Ente di gestione delle aree protette delle Alpi Cozie will acquire, via public tender, 150 sheep. The goal is to create a functional service flock to aid the long-term conservation management of habitat 6210 *, in the project area and possibly other areas of habitat 6210 *, within and outside the boundaries of the SCI. This will help to form a progressive expansion of areas for the management of the project.
The animals purchased will be made available by management, to a private company for the entire duration of the project and after its completion, ensuring continuity in time of action. The flock can actively graze the entire habitat 6210* (subject to management), depending on the times and conditions set out in the action A4. The entire duration of the project may be sub-contracted to another company as long as the aim of pursuing the purpose of nature conservation within and outside the SCI remains. The flock given to a company will be via public tender. Despite these conditions, the coordinating beneficiary (PNACozie) will always maintain the ownership of the animals.

The action C2 was completed.
Pastoral functional equipment will be installed to aid the conservational long-term management of the habitat 6210*. In particular, the actions will affect the habitat of approximately 83 ha, owned by the municipalities of Bussoleno and Mompantero. This land is divided into two areas, between the grounds recovered through the actions of C1. In support of the interventions, the principles will be adopted and the measures defined in the technical document drawn up during action A4. The action C2 is of functional importance to the application of grazing in grasslands, implemented with the action C5.

The action C1 was completed.
The actions intend to recover, on various terrain, a total of about 20 ha of the habitat 6210* (which includes approximately 10 ha of habitat invaded by trees and shrubs and about 10 ha of habitat invaded by shrubs) through manual clearing and logging services. The interventions will be carried out in a methodical manner across the entire region of the two areas (83 ha). The ground recovered (20 ha) varies from 15 square meters (area containing a few individual shrubs) to about 0.7 ha (ground containing significant amounts of trees and shrubs). The actual size of the areas of intervention will be evaluated and properly quantified only as a result of the preliminary actions. Interventions need to simultaneously evaluate the importance of maintaining ecological networks for wildlife whilst also providing, where necessary, interventions to spots where ground is recoverable rather than a single area of intervention.

The action A5was completed at September 30, 2014.
The monitoring involves the installation of a fixed number and network of observation stations, with the aim to detect the vegetative situation (pre-intervention of the habitat 6210*). Initial monitoring will also help repeat the sampling in the same areas over time (action D), to assess the impact of those specific actions planned.
